Jeff, Joe, Andrew & Eric, better known as Providence Road Band, met each other in Charlotte, North Carolina. Each member carries a deep desire to worship God by delivering a unique sound in the pursuit of Praise. The band transforms themes central to Christianity into current lyrical language and sets them to music that is both upbeat and melodic.

Lead singer Jeff Woods took the name Providence Road from a stretch of road that reaches from center city Charlotte south to Providence church. The road signifies each member's journey to God.
